Meet Tayla
Tayla is a clinical Social Worker and EMDR Therapist, registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers and a member of the EMDR Association of Australia.
Over the past decade, she has worked across lutruwita/Tasmania, beginning with young people and families before moving into one-on-one therapy.
For the past four years, Tayla has specialised in family violence and trauma recovery.

Parts Informed
Tayla works from a parts-based approach informed by Janina Fisher, Frank Anderson, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Tayla has found a parts approach to be supportive in gently connecting with the parts shaped by or holding trauma.

Somatic Approach

Holding a somatic focus, and drawing on modalities like Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Polyvagal Theory, Tayla will support you to listen to your body’s signals, restore nervous system balance, and reconnect with a felt sense of safety.
EMDR

Tayla is trained in EMDR therapy and a member of the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). EMDR is a gold-standard treatment for trauma, grief, and stress. EMDR helps the brain reprocess distressing memories, reducing their emotional charge.
